Removable appliance

The removable appliance is a resin plate that contains wire components and rotating screws. These appliances are used especially in children to adjust the position of individual teeth or as retention braces after the completion of treatment with fixed appliances.

If treatment with a scanning appliance is chosen for you, we will make it to measure in our laboratory. When you hand over the device, we will provide you with detailed instructions on how to care for it properly and how to use it effectively. Checks are usually carried out every 2-3 months.

Consultation

Everything starts with a consultation, during which the doctor examines the patient and performs a basic diagnosis. If the patient agrees, we consequently perform a detailed examination, which includes a 3D scan of the teeth, X-rays and photo documentation.

Treatment plan

Based on this necessary information, the doctor will inform the patient or his/her legal representative about the proposed treatment plan, including the available options, the course of treatment and its financial requirements.

Treatment

If both parties agree to the treatment plan and dental hygiene reaches perfect results, the patient can be admitted to the active phase and treatment can begin.

Follow-up check

During treatment, regular check-ups and adjustments of braces follow, the frequency of which depends on the type of orthodontic defect and the type of braces chosen.

Retention

Once the active phase of treatment is complete, retention is key to ensure that the results achieved are maintained, using retention wires, removable braces or foil splints (Essix splints), along with regular check-ups to ensure long-term stability and proper tooth function.
